Creative work · Comedy + fiction

Comedy is another way I design experiences.

I write, direct, and perform Chinese-language comedy.

From live sketches to speculative fiction, I use timing, character, and systems to make everyday absurdity visible.

Most work is in Chinese. Context and credits are presented in English.

Intermission · Behind the timing

The joke is only the visible part.

The title Crazy Delivery is projected onto an empty stage before the show.

01

Write the premise

Find the ordinary situation that can hold an unreasonable amount of pressure.

Hua gives direction during a black-and-white rehearsal photograph.

02

Direct the rhythm

Shape pauses, entrances, movement, and escalation until the joke belongs to the room.

A performer stands alone in a spotlight while preparing on an empty theatre stage.

03

Shape the room

Treat the stage, the ensemble, and the audience as one connected experience.

Hua speaks to camera while preparing backstage.

04

Make it live

Carry the idea through production, then stay responsive when a live audience changes the timing.

Act III · Fiction

Worlds built around a difficult choice.

Hua writes high-concept Chinese fiction built around moral choice. His stories use mystery, speculative systems, and theatrical set pieces to test ideas of justice, progress, and good intention—pairing plot-driven suspense with social satire and philosophical references.
